After a 30-year career in the food & beverage practices for global PR and brand-building agencies Ketchum, Fleishman-Hillard and Edelman, Amy launched Marin Restorative Communications to help organizations and clients with climate-beneficial and planet-friendly purposes build and protect their brands and share their stories. Amy believes that “It’s time we use the same branding and storytelling techniques used by major marketers to advocate for change in how food is produced and consumed. There are brilliant people working on solutions, but they need support. And, simple steps already exist for individuals to take in their daily habits that, collectively, can reap massive rewards for the planet.”
Amy and her teams have worked with global food and beverage leaders like Nestle, Unilever, Kikkoman, Sunsweet and Nissin. She has also counseled C-suite executives at commodity boards such as the California Milk Advisory Board, the U.S. Potato Board, the California Dried Plum Board and The National Honey Board.
For Edelman, she served on the National Academies of Sciences Roundtable on Obesity Solutions and at Ketchum she helped create and lead Ketchum Cultivate, the agency’s specialty team designed to work for natural and organic brands.
Amy has twin 21-year old sons, a Golden Retriever and the good fortune to live in Mill Valley, California, across the street from a park filled with redwood trees, a meandering creek and children’s laughter.
