Stacey Kerans—Media Relations Director

Stacey has worked for more than 20 years in the communications business where she has spent her career helping clients tell their stories, build authentic brands, and meet their business goals. She grew up steeped in newsmaking and knew early on she wanted to be involved in the process from watching her father work for over 30 years at The Boston Globe newspaper in Massachusetts.

Whether it’s been promoting lifelong literacy, access to dental care for America’s veterans, making sure high school students understand financial literacy before going out into the real world, or exposing the potential hazards of plastic in our bodies and the environment, Stacey has supported many clients who are trying to make the world a better place.

The majority of her career as a consultant on the agency side has been at Fleishman-Hillard and Ketchum where she developed award-winning campaigns for clients across a variety of industries including retail, arts and entertainment, travel and hospitality, consumer-packaged goods, technology, and professional services.

Stacey’s areas of expertise include media strategy, media relations and interview prep for C-level executives, subject matter experts and celebrity spokespersons. Her experience also spans corporate communications, brand reputation management, executive thought leadership, sponsorship strategy development and experiential marketing.

She created The Chocolate Symposium: Trends|Tastes|Discoveries, the first organized events to bring together cocoa industry leaders, science experts, trend specialists and media for a 360 degree look at the world of chocolate for the Chocolate Manufacturers Association. The event also shined a spotlight on finding solutions for the industry’s global humanitarian and agricultural issues. Additionally, on behalf of the Glass Packaging Institute, she helped raise awareness of the potential health dangers of food and beverages packaged in plastic and further the growing global issue of plastic pollution in the world’s oceans.

For seven years Stacey worked in the Press Office of the Sundance Film Festival where she was part of the management team overseeing media relations activities press events, crisis communications prep, documentary and feature film premiere press line oversight, and media interviews for the 1,200 members of the attending global media.

Other clients she has worked with include Nestle, Chocolate Manufacturers Association, National Confectioners Association, Glass Packaging Institute, The Hershey Company, Keurig Dr. Pepper, AOL, Yahoo!, PUMA, and AARP.
